Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Brunnstrom proximal upper-limb stage >=III >6 months post-single stroke 1st time with no acute illness or complication Absence of additional therapy intervention during this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Arm contractures/ pain Preexisting upper-extremity impairment Cerebellar lesion Unstable medical status Perceptual, apraxic, or cognitive deficits that would prevent adequate study participation Inability to provide informed consent Significant pain in the hand during range of motion (Visual analog Scale above 6 out of 10) Open wounds on the hand or arm Not able to take command
