Intervention1: transdermal diclofenac patch: diclofenac transdermal patch 75cm placed 1/2 hour before procedure Control Intervention1: Oral analgesic: Diclofenac 50mg given for twice daily 3 days

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients indicated for trans alveolar extraction of mandibular molars 2. Patients in the age group of 18 years and above. 3. Patients willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients having acute infection. 2. Roots with associated periapical pathology like cysts, odontomes, tumours, etc. 3.Patients with history of systemic diseases like uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension, radiotherapy and bleeding disorder. 4.Patients allergic to Local anaesthesia and NSAIDS
