Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals with malocclusion characterized by Crowding less than or equal to 3mm requiring fixed orthodontic treatment with bilateral extraction of the first premolars; Space closure is to be performed by sliding mechanics.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with • Periodontitis • Syndromes or systemic diseases that influence bone or connective tissue metabolism. • Alveolar-wall fracture at the extraction site • Wound infection at the extraction site
