Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA class I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring postoperative mechanical ventilation or regional analgesia Patients on perioperative gabapentin, magnesium Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers BMI more or equal to 35kh/sq meter Allergy or contraindications to study medications. Patients with cardiac, renal or hepatic disease. Patients with seizure or other neurological disorder. Patients with chronic preoperative opioid use or substance abuse and history of chronic pain.

Pain assessed post operativelyTimepoint: Assessment of pain immediately post op, 1hour, 6hour, 12hour and 24hour.

First & total rescue analgesia (paracetamol) consumedTimepoint: 24 hours post-operatively.
