Intervention1: Ayurvedic toothpaste: tooth brushing with ayurvedic toothpaste, marketed toothpaste (dantkanti) and placebo for 3 months and maintaining oral hygiene. Microbial count from saliva sample

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals having age between 18-30 years Male and Female both participants Individuals with caries and mild to moderate gingivitis Good healthy brushing habits Individuals with Gingival Index score 0-2 according to Loe and Silness Criteria 1963 Individuals with Plaque index score 0-1.9 according to Silness and Loe Criteria 1967 Individuals with DMFT scores 3 or less

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who are undergoing orthodontic treatment. Individuals with severe malposed teeth. Individuals with demonstrating/ known history of allergy from any component of toothpastes. Individuals using antibiotic therapy within last 1-3 months. Individuals with adverse habits such as smoking. Individuals with prosthesis. Individuals not willing for participation.
