Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients belonging to reproductive age group (18-44 years) with inability to conceive after one year (or longer) of unprotected sex.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who refuse to give consent for participation in this study. Women taking vitamin D supplements or using medication for systematic disease. Women with a potential iatrogenic (e.g. ovarian surgery, gonadotoxic therapy) or known genetic cause of ovarian loss. Infertile couples seeking fertility treatment in which causative factor is due to male infertility

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency in patients seeking treatment for infertility. Timepoint: vitamin D deficiency as 25OH-D levels less than 20 ng/mL

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Association of serum vitamin D levels with markers of ovarian reserve.Timepoint: Baseline Levels of Serum AMH, FSH, LH will be measured on the second or third day of the menstrual cycle as well AFC via ovulation study
