Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. MRI proven complete tear of ACL. 2. Isolated ACL injury with no concomitant ligament injury in the I/L knee. 3. Intact or partially resected meniscus. 4. No articular cartilage defect.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Revision ACL surgery cases. 2. Multiligamentous knee injury cases. 3. Patients with prior history of fracture around the knee. 4. Patients who refused to take part in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.To find out the Knee Stability using Lachman test in the postoperative period at 9 months vs preoperative period in quadriceps tendon group & hamstrings group.Timepoint: 9 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To find out the Knee Stability using Anterior drawer test, Pivot shift test in the postoperative period at 9 months vs preoperative period in quadriceps tendon group & hamstrings group. 2. To compare the functional outcome scores (Lysholm Score, KOOS score) in the postoperative period at 9 months vs preoperative period in quadriceps tendon group & hamstrings group. 3. To find the incidence of Graft Rupture rate & donor site morbidity at 9 months postoperative period in quadriceps tendon group & hamstrings group.Timepoint: 9 months
