THIS STUDY COMPARES TWO TYPES OF REGIONAL BLOCKS, NAMELY PARAVERTEBRAL BLOCK AND ERECTORSPINAE BLOCK DONE UNDER ULTRASOUND GUIDANCE IN THE PATIENTS UNDERGOING LOWER ABDOMINAL SURGERIES UNDER SPINAL ANESTHESIA. A COMPARISION OF THE POST OPERATIVE ANALGESIA PROVIDED BY EACH BLOCK IS THEN ASSESSED.

Comparative evaluation of post operative analgesic efficacy of ultrasound guided erector spinae block and ultrasound guided paravertebral block in patients undergoing lower abdominal surgeries under spinal anesthesia: One year Randomized Control Study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Compare analgesic efficacy of USG guided erector spinae block and USG guided paravertebral block in patients undergoing lower abdominal surgeries using VAS, and to assess the time of receiving the first rescue analgesia.Timepoint: 0HR, 1HR, 2HR, 3HR, 4HR, 5HR, 6HR, 12HR, 24HR

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To observe the total rescue analgesic consumption in the first 24hrs of receiving the block.Timepoint: 24HR
