Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA grade I -II 2. BMI OF 18-30 kg/m2 3. Patient with anticipated difficult airway

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients not willing to participate in study and non-co-operative patients. 2. Allergy to local anaesthetic(lignocaine) 3. Local pathology at the injection site 4. Any disability limiting the performance of block

MeasureTime frame
1.To compare patient comfort achieved when SLN block is given using the USG approach and anatomical landmark approach using the 5-point grading scale (Reasoner et al.,1995) 2.To determine the difference in patientâ??s perception of discomfort post-op 12 hours using the NRS scale. Timepoint: post-op 12 hours using the NRS scale.

1. To determine the difference in time of intubation in both groups. 2. To determine the difference in the mean of hemodynamic changes in both groups. Timepoint: At the time of intubation, 0 min, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 20 min, 30 min, 40 min, 50 min, 60 min, 75 min, 90 min
