Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. Patients belonging to the age group of 18 to 60 years. American society of anaesthesiology (ASA) grade 1 and 2 patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal ASA 3 and above Patients with features of local infection at the site of block Patients with history of bleeding disorder or on anticoagulant therapy Patients with known allergy to local anesthetic drugs Patients with mental illness Patients with neuromuscular disorders

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the overall consumption of opioids in first 24 hours after surgery.Timepoint: first 24 hours after surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Time of requirement of first rescue opioid analgesic. 2. Pain score. 3. Patient satisfaction score. 3. Side effects like nausea, vomiting & sedation.Timepoint: Pain score, side effects & vital data will be assessed at 0,2,4,8,12 and 24 hours. Patient satisfaction score will be assessed at 24 hours
