Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of ASA-1, ASA-2 and ASA-3 physical status 2. Patients of major abdominal surgeries 3. Patients willing to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients refused to participate 2. Patients with ASA- 4 physical status 3. Patients with pregnancy, nursing female and morbid obesity 4. Patients under history of renal dysfunction 5. Patients with pre-existing bleeding diathesis

MeasureTime frame
To measure plasma chloride level before & after the surgery by administration of balanced crystalloid & 0.9% Normal saline in patients & assess hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis by arterial blood gas analysis.Timepoint: Just prior to incision, after 30 mins of incision and every 1 hourly intraoperatively and 6hourly for next 24hours and 12 hourly till 48hours

MeasureTime frame
To estimate Postoperative electrolytes imbalance kidney injury major cardiac event nausea vomiting & mortality.Timepoint: Just prior to incision, after 30 mins of incision & every 1 hourly intraoperatively & 6hourly for next 24hours & 12 hourly till 48hours
