Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients from 18 to 65 years of age belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiology (ASA) physical health status I- III

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindications to nerve block like coagulopathies and local site pathology 2. Body mass index >35% 3.Pregnant patients 4. Any allergy to study medications

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.Pain score after 24 hours of laparoscopic cholecystectomy at rest & at movement. 2. Proportion of patients requiring rescue analgesia in 24 hours after surgery.Timepoint: 24 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Time to request for first rescue analgesia. 2. Total consumption of opioids at 24 hours postoperatively. 3. NRS at 2,4,6 & 12 hours after surgery at rest and at movement. 4. Number of patients reporting nausea ,vomiting, sedation and pruritis. 5. Quality of recovery at 24 hours post operatively.Timepoint: 24 hours
