Intervention1: Arq baranjasif: orally in a dose of 40 ml twice daily with water for 14 days Control Intervention1: Caps Doxycycline & Tablet Metronidazole 400 mg: Caps Doxycycline 100 mg twice & Ta

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women with , 1. Lower abdominal pain 2. Low backache 3. Vaginal discharge 4. Painful coitus 5. Wet mount test (WBCs > 10/HPF) . 6. Married women aged 18-45 yrs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with , 1. Complicated PID, tubo ovarian abscess, haemorrhagic ovarian cyst. 2. History of recurrent PID. 3. History of delivery, abortion or gynecological surgeries within the last 3 months. 4. Systemic illnesses like thyroid dysfunction and malignancies. 5. Women on OCPs or IUCD within 3 months. Pregnant and lactating women.
