Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients over 18 years with fully erupted, present and fully root developed mandibular teeth (from the 3rd cuspid up to 2nd mandibular molars). 2.Patients with a panoramic radiograph and CBCT volume showing the mental foramen region. 3.The mental foramen should be clearly visible and should be demarcated on both radiographic modalities (all the margins of the foramen must be clearly defined). 4.The apices of the reference teeth mesial and distal to the foramen must be clearly defined. 5.Radiographs (panorama and CBCT volumes) of high-resolution and adequate diagnostic qualities that allow clear demarcation of the MF boundaries and the apices of the reference teeth (mesial and distal to the foramen) 6.reasonably aligned teeth in the region of interest
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Missing teeth in the study area (missing mandibular canine, premolars and first mandibular molar). 2.The presence of pathologies in the area of study (including radiolucencies in the jaw, periodontal lesions, etc.). 3.Images with distinct distortion, artifacts and superimposed metal objects in the area of study.

Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| CBCT is an effective tool for presurgical tri dimensional assessment such as mental foramen. On the other hand, PAN examination were not able to show the AMF cases assessed on CBCT. The present study will be conducted to compare linear measurements digital panoramic & CBCT volumes for the localization of Mental Foramen Timepoint: Assessed after 1 year. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The relative accuracy of two-dimensional panoramic radiographs compared with three-dimensional computed tomography (CBCT) images for identification & measurement of the localization of mental foramen.Timepoint: Assessed after 1 & half year. | — |
