Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Clinically diagnosed cases of OA as per ACR criteria suffering from pain of the condition:with or without involvement of other joint(s). 2. Patients already undergoing regular oral/topical analgesics/NSAIDs therapy for pain episodes of OA provided the medications are stopped completely.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Severe degeneration of knee joint with marked joint narrowing, varus, or valgus deformity of knee ( > 12°); evidenced by imaging or other evidences and requiring surgical intervention 2.Non-ambulant patients 3.Self-reported joint disorders (e.g. inflammatory joint disease, specific arthropathy, severe axis deviations or instabilities, joint or skin infections, joint prostheses of the lower limbs) other than OA 4.IA corticosteroid injections within 2 weeks prior to study entry. 5.Uncontrolled, unevaluated and/or complicated diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and other co-morbidities 6.Cases with other systemic unevaluated or uncontrolled diseases like cardiovascular, renal, gastro-intestinal, endocrinal, gynecological diseases etc. or systemic infections affecting quality of life or on other treatment therapies 7.Psychiatric illness 8.Patients with any vital organ failure 9.Recent significant knee surgery within last 6 months 10.Cases with transplanted knees 11.History of homeopathic treatment for any chronic disease within last 3 months. 12.Self-reported immune-compromised states 13.Alcohol/drug addiction or dependence 14.Inability to comply with the study protocol 15.Pregnant and puerperal women and lactating mothers. 16. Patients who are too sick for consultation.
