Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients fulfilling the criteria of American Society of Anaesthesiologists Physical Status I, II and III children. 2) Patients of either gender, aged 8-12 years . 3) Pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with anticipated difficult airway as per the following predictors: (i) Restricted mouth opening (ii) Obesity with BMI >30kg/m2 (iii) Retrognathism. (iv) Restricted neck mobility 2) Patients with cervical spine injury or any restriction in neck movement 3) Patients with any other obvious pathology around the mouth or neck, like i.e maxillofacial fractures and tumors ,oral malformations like clefts etc 4) Syndromic children with upper airway abnormalities.
