Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age 18 - 50 years 2) All males and Premenopausal females 3) ASA 1 and 2 4) Patient consenting for inclusion in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) History of diabetes mellitus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic kidney disease 2) Body mass index of =30 kg/m2 3) Pregnant patient 4) Any medication affecting the gastric motility 5) Patient undergoing upper abdominal surgery 6) Postmenopausal females 7) Emergency surgery
