Conditions

Health Condition 1: O- Medical and Surgical

Interventions

Intervention1: Micro cuffed Endotracheal Tube: It has short and cylindrical cuff membrane compensates for different sized and shaped paediatric airways, reducing the need for replacing oversized trach

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Pediatric patients of ASA 1 and ASA 2.(2)Posted for elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pediatric patients with anticipated difficult airway 2. Anatomical deformity of the upper airway 3. Previous surgeries involving upper airway 4. Any obvious scars, ulcer or mass in the neck which will interfere with the USG examination.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare estimation of microcuffed endotracheal tube in USG group, weight group & height group. formula in estimating microcuffed ETT (internal diameter ) size Timepoint: 1.At the time of induction and before intubation with endotracheal tube

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare usg group with actual size of ETT To compare weight group with actual size of ETT To compare height group with actual size of ETT.Timepoint: 1.At time of induction 2.Before Intubation of ETT
