Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged > 18 years 2. Unilateral frozen shoulder 3. Symptom duration > 3 months 4. Shoulder pain and limited gleno-humeral joint active range of motion of greater than 50% in at least three specific movements among abduction, flexion, internal rotation, and external rotation 5. First attack of the frozen shoulder. 6. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for > 3 years 7. Fasting blood sugar >=126 mg/dL, and Hemoglobin A1c [HbA1c] >= 6.5% 8. No significant radiographic findings on anteroposterior, axillary or scapular y-view shoulder radiographs 9. No medical treatment other than analgesics have been prescribed within the past 3 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous history of shoulder surgeries in the last 6 months 2. History of Rotator cuff tears 3. Pain and muscle strength loss due to neurological causes 4. History or presence of malignancy 5. Osteoporosis 6. Active infection 7. Use of pacemakers 8. Undergone any physiotherapy or steroid treatment within a 3-month period
