Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria Patients coming to JIPMER general surgery OPD and casualty during the study period fulfilling the following criteria All patients with Chronic fissure in ano (symptoms >6 weeks, fissure with hypertrophied anal papilla and sentinel pile) above 18yrs age
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with cardiovascular illness, heart failure, diabetes 2.Patient having secondary causes if fissure such as HIV/AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy and dermatological conditions like psoriasis. 3.Patients taking Diltiazem or Nifedipine drug. 4.Patients on chronic use of analgesics such as for head-ache 5.Patient denying consent
