Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Acute Febrile illness (Defined as fever 2) Moderate to severe thrombocytopenia defined as Platelet count

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients on anticoagulation or known coagulation disorder 2. Patients who have received any blood product transfusion 48 hours prior to screening 3. Patients who have undergone heparin dialysis 48 hours prior to screening

1) Incidence of any thrombotic events (Deep vein thrombosis, Pulmonary embolism, Myocardial infarction, stroke, Mesenteric ischemia, acute limb ischemia)Timepoint: up to discharge from hospital;2) Incidence of major bleeding â?? Hemoptysis, Hematemesis, Intracranial bleed, any other bleeding causing hemodynamic instability or need for transfusionTimepoint: up to 48 hours from recruitment
