Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient presenting to Emergency Department with Acute febrile illness with no single localised source of infection 2. Within 24 hours of hospital admission at the time of enrollment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Not consenting to participate in the study 2. Intent of treatment is palliative

Survival/ Death of the patientTimepoint: Survival/Death will be assessed on day 28 since admission

MeasureTime frame
7-day mortality; need for ventilation (either invasive or non-invasive), development of shock, ventilator-free days and vasopressor free days at 28 days.Timepoint: 7 days, 28 days
