Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: adult patients more than 18 years critically ill patients needing tracheal intubation in icu
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: tracheal intubation performed outside icu/hospital setting tracheal intubation during cardiac arrest patients on vasoactive medications at the time of screening hypotension SBP hypertension SBP >140 mmhg at screening urgency of tracheal intubation precludes performance of study procedures pregnant females
