Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with carcinoma of the breast. 2.Patients undergoing simple mastectomy or breast conservation surgery with either sentinel lymphnode biopsy or axillary lymphnode dissection.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients undergoing any major reconstructive procedure along with mastectomy including grafts or flaps. 2.Patients undergoing bilateral breast surgery in the same admission. 3.Patients undergoing breast surgery along with any other surgical procedure. 4.Patients with comorbidities which preclude administration of standard drug therapy post mastectomy.
