Intervention1: psychological intervention: involving 1 session per week for 4 weeks (1 session duration- 60 min) following interventions will be done- psychoeducation, Relaxation Exercise, activities

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of ESKD confirmed by medical records On haemodialysis for at least 6 months  Receive dialysis at least twice weekly with minimum of 3 hours per session Has not received any structured psychological interventions in last 6 months Living in Delhi or NCR (feasible for weekly follow-up). If follow up is not feasible in physical form due to COVID-19, online sessions would be taken for the patients. Willing to participate in the study and provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of Psychosis/ Intellectual Disability /Dementia/ Cognitive impairment preventing participation in study. Comorbid serious medical illness as defined by treating physician preventing participation in study. Current symptoms suggestive of severe depression (DASS Individuals taking psychotropic medications  History of substance use disorder (except tobacco dependence) as per medical records. Unwilling or unable to give consent or refusal to be randomised.
