Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Associated fractures of the extremity 2. Head or spine injury which hampers in mobility of patient 3. Patient necessitating ICU care for more than 24 hours 4. Injuries due to which patient cannot be mobilized even after 24 hours of amputation.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effect of isokinetic versus conventional strength training exercises on above knee amputation patient following trauma in relation to gait pattern.Timepoint: 24 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Acceptability of Immediate post operative prosthesis (IPOP) in above knee amputees in relation to early stump preparation in both the groups. 2. Assessment of quality of life parameters in both the groups in relation to adaptability of definitive prosthesis in above knee amputation patients Timepoint: 24 months
