Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age all patients above 18 years will be included in the study Patients undergoing all kinds of elective surgeries under GA with endotracheal intubation in sitting position

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient who refuse to consent. •Anatomical deformities of head and neck •Earlier surgeries of head and neck •Tumours of maxillofacial region •Burns involving head and neck •Post radiation.

MeasureTime frame
To assess the change in tongue size after General Anaesthesia .Timepoint: 0 minutes at time of induction Duration of sitting position upto 8 to 10 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Correlation of tongue swelling with duration of surgery. 2)Correlation of tongue swelling distance between mento- sternal after positioning. Timepoint: post intubation and prior extubation
