Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All melioidosis cases with or without comorbidities (diabetes, renal dysfunction, alcoholism etc.) those who will be admitted at Kasturba hospital.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All the cultures negative for the Burkholderia genus.

| The study will help in observing the incidence of melioidosis and identifying patterns of clinical manifestations. A major outcome is the maintenance of a repository of B. pseudomallei isolates for future research, to understand the clonal relatedness of our B. pseudomallei isolates with those isolated in other endemic regions. With the collection of isolates in this study, we will be better equipped to help determine the true epidemiology of melioidosis in India.Timepoint: Baseline, 52 weeks | — |
