Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age group- 35-70years. -All genders. Type II Diabetes mellitus â?? All established cases [on anti-diabetic medications] [defined by American Diabetes Association 2007]. Study subjects without Diabetes Mellitus for age matched control group.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Significant media opacities precluding fundus examination. - Glaucoma. - Previous ocular surgery or trauma. - Any local or systemic diseases affecting Cornea ( eg . dystrophies , degeneration, opacity, keratoconus or pterygium ) - Contact lens wearers. - Pregnancy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the relation of Central Corneal thickness (CCT) and keratometry parameters between diabetics and nondiabetic patients and correlate the same with the severity of diabetic retinopathy. Timepoint: 20 minutes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the relation of Central Corneal thickness (CCT) and keratometry parameters with HbA1c levels. Timepoint: 30 MINUTES
