Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Comparison of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA),Thermoplastic urethane (TPU) and Multifoam on running economy and perceived comfortTimepoint: Normal shoe (day1), EVA (day2), TPU(day3), Multifoam (day4) the runners will run for twenty minutes according to their capacity and parameters will be measured

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Comfort of the footwear will be checked using visual analogue scale for assessment of the shoe comfortTimepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm) ;Hear Rate, Respiratory Rate will be measured using fingertip pulse oximeter.Timepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm) ;Lactate accumulation,Urea will be measured by using venous blood sample through Venous Blood Gas Analysis. Timepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm) ;Metabolic equivalent of task (MET) will be calculated by the preset calculator of the treadmillTimepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm) ;Rate of Perceived exertion will be measured using Borg Scale for RPE. Timepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm) ;Body temperature will be measured by a Non contact infra red thermometer. Timepoint: 1) Baseline measurements will be taken before warm up (pre test ) 2)Second readings will be taken after a twenty minute run (post test) in a prefabricated insole, custom foot orthosis composed of EVA(6mm),TPU(6mm), Multifoam(6mm)
