Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between 2-12 years of age undergoing elective neurosurgeries who are conscious and obeying commands.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent 2. Emergency neurosurgical procedures 3. Children in whom Emergence Delirium assessment is not possible. 4. Children shifted with artificial airway insitu 5. Children with postoperative complications like seizures / stridor.

To observe the incidence of emergence delirium in paediatric population undergoing elective neurosurgeries using PAED scoreTimepoint: half an hour post shifting of the patient to recovery area

To determine the risk factors associated with Emergence delirium in paediatric population undergoing elective neurosurgeriesTimepoint: intraoperative period and post operative period, until half an hour in the recovery .
