Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group 1 - Preterm babies Group 2 - Preterm babies These children will be followed up at the Follow up clinic of SAT hospital, Govt Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram with parental consent for the study. The subjects for this study are the children followed up at 2 years corrected gestation age (+ 1 month), both with and without metabolic bone disease which was obtained from the Department registry maintained for the same. The operational definition used for defining Metabolic Bone Disease was Serum Phosphorus 800IU/L.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Significant systemic illness that affects growth such as Chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease Children diagnosed with skeletal dysplasias Lack of parental consent for the study
