Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary molars with vital carious pulp exposures that bled upon entering the pulp chambers. No clinical symptoms or evidence of pulp degeneration , such as a history of spontaneous and nocturnal pain, pain on percussion, history of swelling, mobility or sinus tracts. No radiographic signs of internal or pathologic external resorption and no furcation radiolucency. Teeth would be restorable with posterior stainless steel crowns.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children who refuse to participate in the study. Children suffering from any systemic disease. Highly uncooperative children. Patient with abscess and fistula.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate & compare the clinical & radiographic outcomes of curcumin and formocresol as pulpotomy agents in primary molars.Timepoint: All the pulpotomized teeth will be followed up clinically at 1,3,6,12 months respectively & radiographically at 6 and 12 months interval.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To find a viable alternative to formocresol as a pulpotomy agent in primary molars.Timepoint: All the pulpotomized teeth will be followed up clinically at 1,3,6,12 months respectively & radiographically at 6 & 12 months interval.
