Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children within age group of 4-11 years, having their first dental visit. 2. Children who fall under the American Society of Anaesthesiology (ASA) category I (defined as a normal healthy patient). 3. Children and parents who are willing to participate in the study. 4. Children without any systemic and mental disorders. 5. Children who fall under Wrightâ??s modification of Franklâ??s behaviour rating (FBR) scale of 2 (-) or 3 (+), which includes patients with either negative or positive attitude respectively.22 6. A child having a carious cavity lesion, in one of the primary molars, requiring restoration without the administration of local anaesthesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with special healthcare needs. 2. Negative history of any particular underlying disease. 3. Children or parents who refused to participate in the study. 4. Children having pain or who required local anaesthesia administration for treatment. 5. Emergency need such as drainage of abscess or extraction. 6. Pulpal exposure of tooth during caries removal. 7. Children whose behaviour could be rated as definitely positive (++) or definitely negative (--), according to Wrightâ??s modification of Franklâ??s behaviour rating scale.
