Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The present study will include all patients with gastric cancer deemed suitable for radical distal gastrectomy with curative intent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who had previous gastric or small bowel surgery 2. Adjacent or additional organ resection. 3. Palliative resection

1.To study the extent of bile reflux gastritis by HIDA scan after two weeks of surgery and upper GI endoscopy after three months of surgeryTimepoint: 1.HIDA scan at two weeks after surgery 2. Upper GI endoscopy at three months after surgery

MeasureTime frame
1. To assess the time taken for reconstruction. 2. To assess gastric emptying by post operative nasogastric tube output , day of removal of nasogastric tube and resumption of oral dietTimepoint: 1. Time taken for surgery in minutes 2. Post operative day of resumption of oral diet for each patient
