Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients willing to participate in the study. 2. Patients in the age group of 18-60 years of age. 3. Patients with post-acne scars in the maxillofacial region.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and lactating women. Patients with history of systemic diseases which affect the lipid profile. (Diabetes mellitus, thyroid dysfunction, cardiovascular diseases, & liver disorders). Patients with post-herpetic scars/post-varicella scars, burn scars in maxillofacial region. Patients on corticosteroid or aspirin therapy for past 1 year. Patients with keloids, family history of keloids. Patients with bleeding disorder. Patients with active viral or bacterial infection of face or active inflammatory lesions of face. Patients with malignant tumours of face. Patients with diseases like HIV, tuberculosis. Patients undergoing any cosmetic treatment or taking any medication for facial aesthetics currently.
