Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with comminuted mandibular fracture. 2. Patients willing to participate in the study 3. Patients between the age group of 18-70years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients allergic to vancomycin 2.Patients with systemic disorders like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, hypertension , blood dycrasias 3.Patients with nephrotoxicity.

MeasureTime frame
patients will be assessed for any post op infection with and without application of vancomycin intraoperativelyTimepoint: patients will be assessed for any infection postoperatively on day 3, 7,15, 30.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
