Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients admitted in the hospital with diabetic kidney disease (according to KDIGO guidelines) • Age 18-75 years • Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (as per ADA criteria)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • History of cardiac disease including congenital heart diseases, rheumatic heart disease, pericardial heart disease and cardiac arrhythmias. • History of other causes of CKD including autoimmune disease, polycystic kidney disease, renal obstructive causes (calculi, malignancy, BPH induced). • Drug induced (NSAIDS) renal failure or cardiac diseases.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The outcome of this study includes improved morbidity and mortality among DKD patients, as the leading cause of death in DKD is due to cardiovascular cause. Understanding the cardiovascular profile in DKD patients helps to identify and manage their risks factors and alleviate the complications (including fatal outcomes) in these patients. Timepoint: baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To improve mortality and morbidity of patients of diabetic kidney diseaseTimepoint: Outcome will be assessed at baseline .
