Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Post partum patients admitted to ICU. 2. >20 weeks of gestation. 3. >18 years of age. 4. Diagnosed as hypertensive disorder of pregnancy as per ACOG criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Non consenting patients. 2. Ocular diseases - surgery, orbital/ocular anamolies. 3. Pre existing seizure disorders. 4. Known intracranial pathology. 5.Known hyperthyroidism with ocular features.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to determine incidence of elevated ONSD (5.8mm) in patients with pregnancy induced hypertension. To determine if there is any relationship between ONSD values and presence of neurological symptoms.Timepoint: 1 year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
determine if there is any relationship between elevated ONSD and severity of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. To determine reltionship between fundoscopic examination findings and ONSD. To determine the relationship between ONSD values and and duration of ICU stay in patients with hypertension.Timepoint: 1 year
