Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pediatric patients of ASA grade 1 and 2, 1-7years of age who will be undergoing elective hypospadias surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of allergic reactions to local anesthetics, bleeding diatheses, coagulopathy, rash or infection at the injection site, spinal abnormality, or any neurological disorders.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To estimate the efficacy of pudendal nerve block in comparison to caudal block in terms of postoperative pain intensity.Timepoint: 24 hours

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcome measures include intraoperative analgesic requirement & postoperative duration of analgesia, and need for any rescue analgesia.Timepoint: 24 hours
