Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male and Female patients with age greater than 18 years with potentially malignant lesions like( Erosive Variant of lichen planus, leukoplakia, erythroplakia, Oral Submucous Fibrosis) and Oral malignancies. Patients who agree to participate in the study Inclusion criteria for control- age and gender matched non habituated, otherwise healthy individuals visiting dental opd clinics for dental problems, with healthy oral mucosa.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any chronic systemic diseases like Diabetes Mellitus, inflammatory bwel disease or autoimmune disorders like arthritis will not be included for the study Patients who are on drugs like corticosteroids which can alter the level of CRP will be excluded from the study

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The outcome from this study will be baselinevalue for salivary C reactive protein which can be used for diagnosing potentially malignant changes & malignant lesions & its disease progression.Timepoint: at baseline 4 weeks 8 weeks 12 weeks 16 weeks 20 weeks 24 weeks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Long term outcome of the study is early detection of malignant & premalignant lesions & the mass detection of the sameTimepoint: at base line 12 weeks 24 weeks & every 6 months after the study for 1 year
