Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patient aged above 18 years, regardless of sex of the patients. 2) All Patients admitted to IRCU Sterling Hospital having hypotension requiring inotropic support. 3)All patients requiring either invasive or non-invasive vantilatory support.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients aged below 18 years regardless of sex will be excluded. 2) Patients likely to stay less than 24hr in ICU. 3)Patient not requiring either of inotropic support or vantilatory support.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1) To study the role of dyschloremia as a marker of increased mortality and morbidity. 2) Incidence of AKI in critically ill patient with dyschloremia.Timepoint: Chloride level will be measured on the day of requirement of inotropic support or ventilatory support.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of dyschloremia in disease involving different systems.Timepoint: Any time during hospital admission.
