Intervention1: Survali: Powder of Tukhm-e-Survali 2gm twice a day orally in capsules. For 8 weeks Control Intervention1: placebo: Wheat flour 2gm twice a day orally in capsules For 8 week

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Known cases of Type 2 Diabetes mellitus, on 2.Fasting blood sugar (FBS) >= 126 mg/dl 3.Postprandial blood sugar (PPBS) >= 140 mg/dl 4.HbA1c >= 6.5% to 8.5% 5. Both genders 6. Aged 30â??60 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Known cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus on insulin or >=2 hypoglycemic drug with complications 2.aged >60 years 3.Pregnant & lactating Women 4.History of systemic illnesses 5.History of other disorders of metabolism

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in HbA1c.Timepoint: HbA1c will be carried out on baseline and end of the treatment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in FBS and PPBS. Improvement in Asian Diabetes Quality of life Questionnaire. Timepoint: FBS, PPBS will be carried out on baseline and end of the treatment, and one mid trial assessment on 30th day will be carried out with FBS and PPBS to ruled out the compliance of the intervention
