Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Young STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI or pharmacoinvasive treatment as a part of standard of caretherapy, fulfilling inclusion and exclusion criteria will be recruited for the study. Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged 35 years or less. 2.Diagnosed STEMI patient undergoing thrombolysis by intravenous or intracoronary route 3.Coronary anatomy feasible for OCT study 4.Patient with informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Clinically or hemodynamically unstable patients where OCT is deemed not feasible (at the discretion of operator). 1.Previous PCI and stenting or coronary artery bypass grafting. 2.End-stage renal disease, serious liver dysfunction and allergy to contrast media 3.Patients with left main coronary artery disease or extremely tortuous or heavily calcific culprit vessel. 4.Poor image quality. 4.Patients with no informed consent.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To study intracoronary anatomy and histo-characteristics by IV-OCT in young STEMI patients after undergoing thrombolysisTimepoint: between 2-48 hours post thrombolysis

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate in-hospital MACE with morphology of lesionTimepoint: at 1 week
