Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age: 18 to 6o years American Society of Anaesthesiologists Physical Status (ASA-PS) I and II BMI Surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal tube insertion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA physical status more than 2 Anticipated Difficult airway as assessed by a Mallampatti grading score (MPG ) greater than 2 Oesophageal pathology Oral or oropharyngeal or larngopharyngeal or laryngeal anatomic abnormalities or diseases Bleeding disorders Risk of aspiration (full stomach, bowel obstruction, pregnancy, gastroesophageal reflux disease [GERD], and diabetic gastroparesis) Emergency surgery contraindication for CP (suspected cricotracheal injury, active vomiting, and unstable cervical spine injuries)

Comparison of effect of paratracheal pressure and cricoid pressure on glottic view in terms of percentage of glottic opening (POGO) score in video laryngoscopic view. Comparison of haemodynamic changes during CP and PP application. Timepoint: After induction of anaesthesia, prior to intubation.
