Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing surgical open tracheostomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: poor general condition of patient with poor prognosis revision tracheostomy patients on antiplatelets and blood thinning agents massive goitre or neck swelling bleeding and clotting disorders
