Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects having minimum of 20 teeth. Subject in whom probing depth of = 5mm in at least 30% 0f sites involved. Subjects having loss of clinical attachment = 5mm in at least 30% of sites involved. Subject having bleeding on probing in at least 30% of teeth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects having orthodontics or prosthetic appliance. Subjects having mouth ulcer. Subjects have undergone recent tooth extraction. Subject has undergone any periodontal surgery in less than 6 months of span. Subject on regular mouth rinses. Subject on antibiotics in last 5 days. Smoking habit or tobacco chewer. Pregnant or lactating women. History of allergy to any constituent of mouthwash.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
There will be reduction in microbial load in after pre-procedural rinse saliva sample as compare to before rinse saliva sample.Timepoint: BASELINE, AFTER 5 MINUTES OF MOUTHRINSE.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in cross contamination to the operator, other patients, dental staff and dental office.Timepoint: BASELINE, AFTER 30 MINUTES OF THE PROCEDURE.
