Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: I. Systemically healthy individuals II. Atleast 4 teeth with one or more sites exhibiting probing depth = 4mm, CAL & bleeding on probing III. Presence of atleast 20 natural teeth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: I. Pregnancy & Lactation II. A history of taking antibiotics, anti inflammatory medication or using anti-bacterial mouth rinses for past 3 months III. Subjects who are on antioxidant supplements IV. Decompensated systemic disease V. Degenerative bone disease VI. Chronic immune-based mucomembranous disorders (e.g., lichen planus, pemphigoid, pemphigus, and systemic lupus erythematosus) VII. Chemotherapy or radiotherapy to the head and neck area VIII. Presence of teeth with periodontitis adjacent to sites affected by peri-implantitis IX. Smoking, drug or alcohol abuse X. Allergy to photosensitizer
