Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |

| To determine the diagnostic accuracy of new interpretation criteria to categorize inflammatory changes and residual tumor on early FDG PET-CT within 4-7 weeks of nCRT in esophageal cancer patients with post operative histopathology as gold standard.Timepoint: After completion of scans AT BASELINE AND AFTER 4-7 WEEKS OF CTRT COMPLETION | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. To compare new FDG PET-CT criteria with the existing PERCIST 1.0 to predict residual disease post nCRT in patients with carcinoma esophagus.Timepoint: After completion of scans AT BASELINE AND 4-7 WEEKS AFTER CTRT COMPLETION;2. To analyse semiquantitative metabolic parameters on early FDG PET-CT corresponding to radiation induced inflammation in post-surgery histopathology examination for carcinoma esophagus.Timepoint: After completion of scans AT BASELINE AND 4-7 WEEKS AFTER CTRT COMPLETION | — |
