Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA physical status : 1 and 2 2. Aged between 18 â?? 65 years of either sexes. 3. Patients receiving antihypertensive medication except beta blocker will be included 4. Patients undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetic autonomic neuropathy 2. Patients on beta blocker therapy 3. Patients having mouth opening 4. Thyromental distance 5. Patients with history of documented difficult airway 6. BMI > 30 Kg/ m2 7. Atrioventricular block > First degree 8. Heart Rate < 50 beats / min, Systolic Blood pressure < 80 mmHg
